The department for Mechatronics is responsible for the specification, design, integration and qualification of the mechatronics sub-systems and components which are fitted into end products. The main focus of the department is on nanometer-accuracy positioning of high speed components. Control engineering, dynamics, actuator design, position measurement systems and material handling are part of this department’s main competences.
Function description
Job Mission:
To contribute to the development of products by specification, design, technical budget analysis, critical component selection, integration & test planning and test execution of mechatronic components or subsystems.
Job Description:
Work in multidisciplinary project teams, aimed at design of mechatronic module. Specification of subsystem and/or its components. Architectural design and trade-offs between mechanical, electronic, software competencies within the various departments. Has specialist knowledge in one of the fields control, dynamics, position measurement or actuator systems, and basic knowledge in the remainder of these areas. Overall technical budget analysis. Selection of critical components and technologies and integration and test of the module. Documentation of specifications, design, and test results.
Requirements
Educational Level
Technical University Masters or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Mechanical engineering.
Theoretical and practical experience with position measurement systems, handling systems, control engineering, actuator design, dynamics. Experience in multidisciplinary project work involving mechatronics, electronics and software withing high tech industry is a pre.
The candidate should be able to work independently in a dynamic and explorative environment and is able to work in multidisciplinary project teams.
Personal Skills
Strong analytical ability with a pragmatic attitude. Good communicational skills and good knowledge of English.
