Dat is belangrijk voor Gea Oenema: ‘Ik denk dat daar ook mijn kracht ligt. Ik kan er voor zorgen dat mensen snel op hun gemak zijn bij mij. Dat is voor mij de basis om iemand echt goed te leren kennen. En laat dat nu net het fundament zijn voor een geslaagde match.’ Gea is op onze vestiging in Emmeloord Recruiter en gespecialiseerd op het gebied van Jacht & Scheepsbouw. Een lange termijn relatie met een kandidaat is voor haar essentieel: ‘Ik wil eerst graag bouwen aan een vertrouwensband. Het ‘resultaat’ is misschien niet direct zichtbaar, maar op de lange termijn pluk je de vruchten van professioneel relatiebeheer en oprechte interesse in de mens.’

Gea is geboren en getogen in Heerenveen en heeft inmiddels 3 jaar een relatie met haar vriend Sander. Vanaf haar 7e is zij actief als voetbalster bij de Voetbalverenging De Wite Peal, een kleine voetbalvereniging in de gemeente Sint Johannesga: ‘Ja dat is echt mijn passie. Ik vind het voetballen echt fantastisch en in combinatie met de gezelligheid naast het veld is het voor mij de ideale sport.’ Naast het voetballen blijft Gea graag fit door middel van kracht- en cardiotraining. Niet alleen aan het sporten is Gea veel tijd kwijt, want een grote vriendengroep zorgt ook voor de nodige agendapunten: ‘We gaan sowieso elk jaar samen een weekend weg en daarnaast zoeken we elkaar tussendoor veel op. Een sportieve activiteit, een gezellig verjaardag of zomaar. We hebben niet echt een reden nodig om elkaar te ontmoeten’ vertelt Gea met een grote glimlach.

Op zakelijk gebied geniet Gea ook van de mensen om zich heen: ‘Dat maakt mijn werk wel extra leuk. Het veel contact hebben met verschillende mensen.’ Tijdens haar opleiding HRM kwam ze voor het eerst in aanraking met de wereld van de arbeidsbemiddeling: ‘In mijn 3e jaar heb ik stage gelopen bij de Donker Groep en daar kon ik vervolgens blijven werken. Ik heb daar veel geleerd. Toen ik de overstap naar Xelvin had gemaakt voelde het als het juiste moment. Ik denk dat ik toe was aan nieuwe prikkels om mezelf op persoonlijk en zakelijk gebied verder te ontwikkelen.’

Los van de ruimte voor ontwikkeling past ook de sfeer van Xelvin goed bij Gea als persoon: ‘Er is hier een fijne balans tussen presteren en samen veel plezier hebben in je werk. Dat vind ik prettig. Ik ben iemand die ook graag samenwerkingen opzoekt, dus dat past hier mooi. Samen doelen nastreven en tegelijkertijd het samen goed hebben.’

De branche Jacht- en Scheepsbouw is te vergelijken met haar vorige werk: ‘Dat was ook een specifieke niche. In eerste instantie weet je weinig, maar als je er met veel enthousiasme induikt dan valt er veel te ontdekken en te leren. Wat voorop staat is dat onze mensen aan een prachtig product werken en daar wil ik graag een bijdrage aan leveren.’ Naast het zakelijk aspect is Gea ook in haar vrije tijd geïnteresseerd in de branche: ‘Het valt natuurlijk niet te vergelijken met de jachten die in mijn werk voorbij komen, maar ik heb het afgelopen jaar een vissersbootje gekocht. Daar heb ik met veel plezier mee gevaren. Ik ben sowieso altijd al vaak op of nabij het water te vinden. Dat heb ik met mijn collega’s in ieder geval gemeen. Ik kijk er naar uit om samen met mijn hen en klanten en kandidaten mooie nieuwe samenwerkingen te realiseren.’
