Functieomschrijving Field Engineer
As Software Commissioning Engineer you'll have a shared responsibility for the commissioning of our systems at customer sites. Our customers are located around the world, which means you'll spend around 80% of your time travelling. You'll be configuring the FSC (Flow Systems Controller; low level controls software developed by Vanderlande), your work can also include configuring the SCADA and specific Vanderlande software. After that you'll travel to the customer site where you'll commission the system. This involves checking the cabling, setting up all the Electro-Mechanical components, building the interfaces with peripheral equipment such as scanners, fine-tuning the FSC software configuration which you've engineered, and putting our software into operation. In this role you'll work together with all parties on-site. You'll be to a large extent responsible for subsystem testing and making sure the system passes the Site Acceptance Test.
- Bachelor or Master degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Automation.
- Good command in English
- An interest in industrial automation and controls hardware such as field bus systems and sensors, including PROFINET, PROFIBUS and Siemens S7
- Willing to travel extensively around 80% worldwide
